

Pick Up and Play Clinic
Watertown Youth Lacrosse Association in association with USA Lacrosse are proud to be a host site for Pick Up and Play clinics as part of National Celebrate Lacrosse Week. These Pick Up and Play clinics are intended for brand-new, first-time players to the sport of lacrosse. These 1-hour clinics are designed to introduce players to the basic fundamentals of lacrosse through fun and engaging activities. A typical clinic will focus on the basic skills of scooping, dodging, and shooting. Other skills may also be instructed depending on the age and skill level of the players.
Ages
Clinics are available to first time players in grades 1-8.
When
Clinics will typically be offered in the Fall and/or Winter.
Where
Clinics will be held at one of Watertown Athletics fields based on availability at the time of each clinic.
Practices
Clinics are a one-time event lasting 1 to 2 hours.

What should we wear to the clinic?
Players should wear comfortable athletic clothing and either sneakers or cleats.
Do I need to bring a stick?
No. Sticks and other equipment will be provided by Watertown Youth Lacrosse Association.
Pick Up and Play Clinic 2025
Watertown Youth Lacrosse Association (WYLA) is hosting a free Pick Up and Play Clinic to celebrate National Celebrate Lacrosse Week. This clinic is intended for players Brand New to the sport of lacrosse in grades 1-8.
Clinic will be held on Saturday November 8, 2025 at Watertown High School.
1:30pm-3:00pm - Boys and Girls grades 1-4
3:00pm-4:30pm - Boys and Girls grades 5-8
